Baba Yaga is a fascinating and complex figure from Slavic folklore, known for her powerful magic and unpredictable nature. This natural, food-based soap, named after this enigmatic figure, is equally complex and intriguing. Made from multi-color soap scraps, the Baba Yaga soap is a beautiful and unique creation that embodies the spirit of this legendary character.

The base of the Baba Yaga soap is made from a combination of olive oil, coconut oil, and castor seed oil. These oils work together to create a rich, moisturizing lather that is gentle on the skin.

The addition of phthalate-free fragrance oil and essential oil gives the Baba Yaga soap its signature scent. This scent is a complex blend of spearmint, basil, rosemary, peppermint, old books, Devil's Door (a mix of patchouli, black pepper, and vanilla), and a touch of rose. The result is a fresh, invigorating fragrance that is both complex and captivating.

The use of multi-color soap scraps in the Baba Yaga soap is not only visually stunning, but also environmentally responsible. By using scraps from other soap batches, this soap helps reduce waste and promote sustainability. The multi-color design also adds an element of fun and whimsy, capturing the playful spirit of Baba Yaga herself.

But who is Baba Yaga, exactly? In Slavic folklore, Baba Yaga is a witch-like figure who lives in a hut deep in the forest. She is often depicted as an old crone with iron teeth, long fingernails, and a wild mane of hair. Baba Yaga is known for her magical abilities, which can be used to both help and hurt people.

Despite her fearsome reputation, Baba Yaga is not always a malevolent figure. In some stories, she helps young heroes on their quests, providing them with magical gifts or advice. In other stories, she is a trickster figure who delights in confusing and confounding those who seek her out.

The Baba Yaga soap embodies this complex and unpredictable nature. Its colorful and playful design is reminiscent of Baba Yaga's mischievous side, while its nourishing and moisturizing properties represent her more benevolent side. The scent of the soap is both invigorating and calming, capturing the duality of Baba Yaga's character.

In conclusion, the Baba Yaga soap is a unique and enchanting creation that pays tribute to one of the most fascinating figures in Slavic folklore. Its multi-color design, nourishing oils, and complex fragrance make it a joy to use, while its connection to Baba Yaga adds an element of magic and mystery. Whether you're a fan of Slavic folklore or simply looking for a high-quality natural soap, the Baba Yaga soap is sure to delight and enchant.

And unfortunately not in the way I hoped, very minty less herbal than I expected. Still makes a wonderful hand soap!

Baba Yaga Goodness

This Baba Yaga soap is perfection! The smell is superb. If you were to describe me to someone, this is what I would smell like. The patchouli had me nervous, it usually makes me gag. Not in this expertly mixed scent! This added the gentle earthy undertones every mossy forest witch exudes. Delightful smell aside, the gorgeous shimmering Baba Yaga stamp on the front is genius! Such a wonderful touch and well executed. Another amazing product that I hope stays in the lineup.
